I bit the bullet during last week and upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.1. I'd just finished making the changes to my blog template when the release was announced, so what else was I to do? I was already in blog admin mode.

The transition went pretty smoothly. Although because I've customized my install, it took me a while to pull all of my hacks out of the main WordPress code, and then move them into my theme code. It took me a while to remember (or rediscover) every little featurette I'd added. Not something the majority of WordPress users will have to tackle though.

All in all it's a nice upgrade, if you're running on a standard install the upgrade is a piece of cake. I'd recommend the upgrade to anyone running WordPress.
